This weekend is the RSPCA's 200th anniversary. To mark the occasion, we demand that they make a positive change by dropping RSPCA Assured.
Our campaign is gaining traction. RSPCA Assured has already made some changes, like removing all animal-based recipes from their website. This is a clear sign that they are feeling the pressure from us and other campaign groups. We've also garnered support from influential figures like Peter Egan and Joey Carbstrong. But this is just the beginning. We have more actions planned and more ways for you to contribute.
Will you join us in sending an X post to the RSPCA and Chris Sherwood (CEO of RSPCA) today? Yesterday we held our protest outside the RSPCA HQ and delivered them a special anniversary cake, so will you raise your voice online with our key demands?
We have ten variations of pre-written posts you can send. When you click on the link, it will take you straight through to X with the post loaded. The more posts you do, the more noise you will make online and draw more attention to our campaign demands. Use as many of the posts as you want, you could even do all ten!
We must keep applying the pressure and let the RSPCA know how we feel about RSPCA Assured. The animals trapped on RSPCA Assured farms desperately need our help!
“Soon the RSPCA will be celebrating its 200th anniversary, and I can think of no better time for the organisation to move away from its RSPCA Assured scheme to one that supports a plant-based food system. I’ve visited farms with the so-called highest welfare imaginable, and yet I’m always shocked at the horrors I witness inside the walls. Kindness and compassion shouldn’t be reserved for a select few - the suffering that farmed animals endure every single day has to stop. It’s time for the RSPCA to use this milestone as a means to truly uphold their values and inspire positive change, by treating EVERY animal with the kindness and compassion they deserve.” Tom Pickering, Director of 'I Could Never Go Vegan.'
We are planning more online actions over the next few weeks, so there will be more opportunities for you to get involved in our campaign and to help us keep the pressure on. Keep an eye out for more updates.
As always,
for the animals!
