In a colossal act of betrayal, Rishi Sunak and his government have scrapped the Kept Animals Bill, the draft legislation that would have seen an end to the live exports of animals for fattening and slaughter. We must act immediately and demand that they REINSTATE the Bill!
This government is scandalously rolling back decades of painstaking campaigning by NGOs. Campaigners have tirelessly fought for this ban for five decades. This is a hateful act of deceit against a nation of animal lovers and the millions of animals who will continue to face arduous journeys, bleak conditions, and even death during live exports.
We will be heading to Parliament to protest to show our distain and demand that Rishi acts immediately.
Time: 12-4pm
Location: Victoria embankment SW1A 2JH (Google pin)
Please join us in London! You can find the Facebook event here. We will provide placards, banners and animal masks but you can also make your own and bring them along on the day.
Rishi Sunak must finally create effective change for animals with his position of power and we will not stop campaigning until he does.
As always,
For the animals.
