Cardiff Campus Without Cruelty update

As you may have seen in the local media, we launched our Campus without Cruelty event launch at Cardiff University in September!

Cardiff Animal Rights have since taken the campaign forward, working with our Welsh Coordinator, Rachel, on follow up events to spread the message of compassion on Cardiff University campuses.

The first Animal Justice Project/Cardiff Animal Rights outreach event took place in October at noon and it was an incredible success! We handed out hundreds of leaflets to interested students and local residents alike. Many students had not even been aware animals are housed on the university campus, so our information came as a shock to those people!

Most students were astounded that over 52,000 animals were used in Cardiff University last year alone. A staggering number.

A huge thanks to Cardiff University students who are speaking out against animal experimentation, and to Cardiff Animal Rights for organizing positive event.

Right now, we are aiming to produce materials into the Welsh language, which will mean our work can reach even further in Wales. We feel this is very important for our welsh speaking supporters.

If you missed the first outreach event, not to worry! We have a second event on Monday 31 October, 1pm at outside the Students Union again.

If you would like to get involved in other ways, for example door dropping our new Campus without Cruelty Wales leaflets, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Rachel at rachel@animaljusticeproject.com.

If you get active for animals, please do send us pictures so we can share it on social media and encourage others to get involved!

On behalf of animals in laboratories everywhere, thank you.
